The new Metro Boston Department of Youth Services Facility is located in Dorchester, MA. The new juvenile detention facility is a 2 story, 2 winged building that will house approximately 120 inmates. Rotondo Precast Modular Group was awarded the correctional cell contract for the production of the 60 fully out-fitted precast correctional cells, 4 handicap cells and 8,700 square feet ( 84 slabs) of hollow core.The 100 square foot correctional cells were manufactured at our sister facility in Rehoboth , MA. The project completion date is scheduled for March of 2000 .The design/build team of R.W. Granger & Sons. Inc., of Shrewsbury, MA and Equus Design Group - Belmont, MA were awarded the contract for new Metro Boston DYS Facility, Dorchester, MA. Monacelli Associates, Inc. (MAI), of Cambridge, MA. are the "Concept Designers, and RFP Authors" for the team, working directly for the Commonwealth's Division of Capital Asset Management.
