Project Summary
Massachusetts Department of Correction
Prison Addition at Bridgewater, MA
This project uses Rotondo
Modular's newest building segment, the Maxi-Dorm. Maxi-Dorm is an entirely precast/prestressed
high security dormitory building system that can be installed quickly on site
offering all the amenities of a permanent solution with the added benefit of
relocatability.
This
project is an emergency addition to the Bridgewater, Massachusetts correctional
facility. The contract was awarded July 16, 1996 to the Rotondo Team to provide
a 300 bed addition to be occupied within 150 days of award. The Rotondo Team
won this design-build project in direct competition with five leading steel
trailer manufacturers. Not only did the Rotondo Team come out on top with our
technical proposal winning the highest point total but we also saved the Commonwealth
over 1.5 million dollars, more than a 20% savings over the next lowest bidder.
After the completion of the project a full erection presentation will be available, check back here to see how to receive your copy.
