Two New Jersey Schools to Use Precast Concrete School Modules for Classroom Additions

James Monroe Elementary School- Edison Township, New Jersey : OPMG won the contract for the precast concrete school modules and wall panels that will make up the new one-story two-classroom addition at James Monroe Elementary School. The new addition will be built with five 4-sided precast concrete modules. Four 10 foot wide modules (with windows) and one at 12 foot wide. Precast concrete wall panels will enclose the structure. The 1,600 square foot addition will connect to the existing corridor structure thru the classroom doors. The exterior precast façade will be painted (to match existing building color) and scored. The interior partitions are to be concrete block. The roof will be a built-up bituminous system. Production will begin in October with erection in November. Edison Township Board of Education is the Owner, SBN is the General Contractor and USA Architects of NJ is the Architect of Record. Jennifer Bourne is the OPMG Project Manager.

Lineneau Elementary School- Edison Township, New Jersey: OPMG won the contract to produce and erect the five precast concrete modules and wall panels that will make up the 2,000 square foot, one story , two classroom addition at the Lineneau Elementary school. The new addition will be built with five 4-sided precast concrete modules, Five 12 foot wide modules. The windows will be located in the end precast wall panels. The exterior precast façade will be painted (to match existing building color) and scored. The interior partitions are to be concrete block. The roof will be a built-up bituminous system.
