4-Story Precast Dormitory first of its kind

Telford, Pa, December 10, 2001- Oldcastle Precast Modular Group has been awarded the precast contract for the new Suffolk County House of Corrections in Boston, MA. The full precast construction of the new $7, 200,000 - 4-story , 56 room, 300 bed, dormitory style facility -is the first of its kind. This is the first time a 4 story full precast dormitory style facility has be designed.
Oldcastle will be designing, engineering and producing the dorm room modules, bathroom modules, hollow core plank, wall panels, slabs and columns. The Dorm rooms and bathrooms will be fully out-fitted. The General Contractor for this project is R.W. Granger & Sons of MA and the Architect of Record is Equus Deign Group of MA. Rotondo Precast of Rehoboth, Massachusetts will be manufacturing the majority of the precast.
